Privacy and disclosures

What we collect
This site does not use accounts, ads or tracking cookies. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps standard server logs and may use privacy-focused analytics that count visits without identifying you.
If you email us to subscribe, we keep your address only to send you new field notes. We never sell or share it. Reply and ask, and we delete it.
Embedded content
Guides embed videos from YouTube and link to Instagram. Those services may collect data under their own policies when you play or open them. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode.
Affiliate links
This site has no affiliate links today. If we add any, the page will say so next to the link, and it will never change what we recommend.
Sponsored trips and gifted products
We pay for our own trips. If a stay, product or trip is provided to us, the guide says so clearly at the top, in line with the US Federal Trade Commission's endorsement guides.
